What to Invest In

Types of investments are, in the investing world, classified by something called their asset class. Asset classes are important as at the end of the day you want to have your portfolio diversified across the various asset classes. Now diversification is another topic all together and there are an infinite number of ways to slice and dice your portfolio, so lets start by looking at the types of investments that are out there.

If you are doing your own investing, you probably have already learned about these types of investments.  I have provided a bit of commentary in this section but this is by no means extensive information. You’ll need to some googling and various reading too to get the full picture.
