Being a confident  and successful investor is both challenging and difficult in the best of times! Making informed decisions pertaining to life style changes or events, can be filled with pitfalls that cannot be changed.

Your participation in the Ottawa ShareClub may assist you in  expanding your knowledge pertaining to life cycle events and issues with a focus on investing. You are invited to share your knowledge and experiences with likeminded individuals. You are also invited to join the steering committee…your input, suggestions and leadership will be greatly appreciated!

At our up-coming meeting, you will connect with people who have similar interests who are willing to share their knowledge and experience. .

The  “ ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION TOPIC ” which will be led by Gord Worley will focus on REWARD CREDIT CARDS. Which are the best cards? Should you pay fees? Should you use them at all? How difficult is it to redeem points and much more.  Your input, comments and participation in a lively discussion will be appreciated and of benefit to all!

The biggest challenge facing most retirees is that they often go from receiving one pay cheque when they are working, to several different sources of income when they retire. Planning where to take the money from and how much to draw can have a significant tax impact over the course of one's retirement.  Given the potential range of income sources, from RSPs and RIFs, TFSA's and non-registered funds, as well as government pensions and work pensions, turning on a "pay cheque" in retirement can be daunting. Our guest presenter will be Gregory Emerson, PFP. Greg is a specialist in Investment and Retirement Planning with RBC.
